An introduction to my blog
Hi, I'm Mister Icon and this is my blog!
Here I plan to provide some hopefully interesting information about my app, which is available now on the App Store for iPhone and iPad devices.
I also plan to write some thoughtful articles about technology in general and the topic of useability in particular.
Because that's essentially what my Mister Icon app is all about. It tries to act as a tool to help make your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch more useable.
I don't mean that it somehow makes your battery last longer so that you get more time to use your device, or that it enables you to use more features of your device. I just mean that it helps to make the time you spend with your mobile device more enjoyable and more productive.
The way I see it: the more organised your mobile device is, the more useable it is.
If you have everything nicely labelled, you can find apps more quickly, you don't get frustrated looking for apps you've misplaced and everything just works so much better.
I think useability is something that is a very important part of design, but it is something that is often overlooked, or at least not considered as much as it should be.
In many aspects of this world, both the technology world and the larger world as a whole, useability often seems to take second fiddle.
Many apps look pretty, but are complicated or just plain confusing to use. And some everyday tasks are just not as easy as they should or could be.
I hope to delve into some of these topics in more depth in the future.

I think we often forget about bookmarks/favourites, but every web browser still has them, and if you'd like to bookmark my page and drop by once in a while, I'd be very grateful.
