The Tips & Tricks Update!

This update adds a new Tips & Tricks section with a range of detailed articles designed to help you get the most from the Mister Icon app.

Something many people might find particularly interesting is an extensive set of instructions on an alternative icon installation method using the Shortcuts app. This method is more complicated the the regular ‘Add to Home Screen’ method, but it allows you to make the icons perform special functions.

For example: you could make a ‘Music’ icon start playing some music when you tap on it, or you could make ‘Games’ icon launch your favourite game-related website.

I hope these new Tips & Tricks may spark some interesting ideas for your home screen customisation.

This update also includes full support for the new iPhone 14 series of devices, and even includes special ‘hidden island’ wallpapers for iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max— in case you want to blend the Dynamic Island in with your home screen background.

The Custom Colour Update!

This is the biggest Mister Icon app update yet, with major new colour features!

The 12 standard Mister Icon colour schemes are all still available, but are now joined by 24 new colour schemes, grouped into Pastels, Fluro and Moody colour sets.

On top of this, you can now create your own custom colours schemes via a colour picker or a 6 digit hexadecimal colour code!

Just pick your desired text colour (black/white), then choose any colour you like for the background.

Custom colour schemes you create, plus all the new built-in default colour schemes can be applied to standard icons, round icons AND wallpapers!

The new Custom Wallpapers option lets you piece together your perfect wallpaper by choosing colours for the different wallpaper parts from a list of colour swatches.

If you like your icon background colours to match your wallpaper colours so they can blend in, the custom wallpaper option makes this very easy.

I am really excited about this update and hope you will find it both fun and useful.

New icon set: FLOURISH

A stylish set of icons with lowercase, italic text.

Available in both standard and round versions.

To achieve the ‘round’ effect, remember to use a matching wallpaper.

Plus some performance improvements.

iPhone 12, 12 mini, 12 Pro & 12 Pro Max

Version 2.8 provides support for the brand new iPhone 12, 12 mini, 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max.

Six New Icons & Two New ROUND Icon Sets

This update introduces the following new icons in each icon set and each colour:

• Family
• Friends
• Phone
• Remote Control
• Shortcuts
• Widgets

These icons can work great when combined with the various widgets that are now available with iOS 14, or with shortcuts created using Apple's Shortcuts app.

Also in this update are round versions of the SPEEDY and VIBRANT icon sets.
Remember to use a matching wallpaper to achieve the proper ‘round’ effect.

Plus improved support for new iPad models.

New icon set: MIDDLE

Available in both standard and round versions.

Be sure to use a matching wallpaper if you'd like to achieve the ‘round’ effect.

MIDDLE shares the same font as the UPPER and LOWER icon sets, so the Mister Icon app now has a full range of complementary labels to choose from (as well as all the other different label styles too).

Maybe try a mix of all three? Or keep consistent with the style you like best. It's up to you!

• UPPER (uppercase text positioned towards the top-left of the icons)
• MIDDLE (a mix of uppercase and lowercase text positioned towards the middle of the icons)
• LOWER (lowercase text positioned towards the bottom-right of the icons)

The ROUND ICON update!

The Mister Icon app now provides the ability to add circular text labels to your home screen via the use of new ‘round’ icons and matching coloured wallpapers.

Round options are available for the CENTRAL and ANGLED icon sets, with more planned for the future.

New icon set: ANGLED

The text on these icons is tilted on an angle and can look great down the left side of your home screen.

Plus improved support for new 4th-generation iPad Pro models.

The Gradient Wallpaper Update!

Version 2.3 of the Mister Icon app welcomes a range of new wallpapers, including some stylish colour gradients.

Available for all iOS/iPadOS device types, these gradient wallpapers can be beautiful alternatives to standard solid colour wallpapers.

All possible combinations of the 12 Mister Icon colours are included, so there are plenty of options to try out.

Two New Icon Sets!

Version 2.2 of Mister Icon introduces two brand new icon sets/styles: UPPER and LOWER. As you might expect, these two icon sets consist of uppercase and lowercase text, respectively.

Both of these icon sets use the same bold and stylish font, so they could potentially be used together in some sort of complementary icon arrangement.

Use your creativity and make these new icon styles work for you!

The Wallpaper Update!

Mister Icon's biggest update so far, version 2.0 introduces a range of new wallpapers designed to match the icons provided in the app.

Painstakingly crafted and tested on all current iOS device types, from the small iPhone SE to the gigantic 12.9-inch iPad Pro, Mister Icon's wallpapers are simple in design, but when combined with icon labels from the app, your home screen pages can look truly unique.

The new wallpapers can be accessed from within the Mister Icon app by selecting the new ‘paint roller’ icon on the left. Then all you need to do is select a wallpaper style and scroll through the various colour swatches until you find a wallpaper you like.

iPhone XS, XS Max and XR

Version 1.7 provides full compatibility with the new iPhone XS, XS Max and XR.

iPhone X

Version 1.6 makes the app fill the screen of the iPhone X.
